About Me
Hi! I'm Zhuochen Liu, a Psychology student at Penn State who is passionate about understanding how people interact with society. I've studied topics ranging from environmental psychology to social psychology, and I enjoy applying these insights to areas like sustainability, digital behavior, and workplace well-being.
In 2023, I researched the relationship between adolescent self-esteem and social media, particularly how short video platforms influence attention and identity formation in youth. This helped me develop both qualitative research skills and critical thinking about real-world psychological problems.
Outside the classroom, I've been actively involved in the Psychology Club, Psi Chi, and ServeState Club, where I've:
- Participated in case analysis seminars to apply theories to real psychological cases
- Helped design community mental health brochures
- Tutored underserved children and supported low-income families
- Attended psychology career panels and networking events
I'm bilingual in Mandarin and English, and I enjoy writing short, insightful blog posts about mental health, education, and human behavior. You can find some of them right there on this site.
